Paula’s take on Ramsay’s Mediterranean fish stew was just a splash of fish stock away from winning the challenge. Close, real close. Taste it and make it, not as easy as it sounds, but at least you know what the result is supposed to look like before you make it. Following a recipe is just the opposite. Try it yourself with Ramsay’s recipe found on a TimesOnline article.
Paula had a good service, not her best but way above her competitors. Each week brings a new perspective to the challenges of working the line. Ramsay’s approach may be severe, but his intentions are sound. Operating an empire of successful restaurants requires solid principles and clear direction. Direction is not something Ramsay is afraid of giving, and I think Paula would attest that he makes himself pretty clear.
We are down to three after giving Ben the boot. Andrea, Danny, and Paula remain. Handicapping this, the logical assumption is that after Thursday it comes down to Paula and Danny in the final. Danny is a good cook and obviously has pretty good skills on the stove, but I think Ramsay will pick Paula as the more experienced chef. Stay tuned, this will be a great finish!
